Flo is one of my favorite people in the world!  We went to Michigan together (me for undergrad and Flo for her Ph.D.) and lived in the same house.  She is one of the most generous and wisest people I know, and was (is) a constant source of good advice.  A number of other housemates and I referred to her as “Mama Flo.”  I hadn’t seen Flo for quite a few years since I graduated, so I was super excited to be able to make it up to Sacramento last week to see her!
